Our Nominated Charity
Tribal Mango will donate £1 for every order of £25 or more to The Smile Train. The Smile Train is a charity whose mission is to provide safe, quality treatment for clefts (gaps in the upper lip and/or palate) free of charge to children living in poverty in developing countries. The Smile Train work with local doctors and hospitals in providing free training, equipment and financial aid in over 70 countries, and as a result over 300,000 children have been treated since 2000. Children with clefts born to poor families in developing countries can suffer immense hardship and some are even killed or abandoned; all for a condition which can cost as little as £150 and take as little as 45 minutes to treat.
Juliana's Story
Juliana was abandoned by her mother only days after her birth and was left with a stranger who took her to a home for orphaned and abandoned children as she had problems feeding her and could not afford the treatment Juliana needed.
At the home they arranged for Juliana to have her cleft lip and palate repaired through a Smile Train partner in Manilla, enabling Juliana to have a bright future.

This is an extract from a letter we received from Smile Train this month:
Thank you very much for helping us again. WE NEED IT!
This year has been very difficult in terms of fundraising, We are doing everything we can but with unemployment up and retirement savings down, it is very, very challenging. That's why we appreciate your continued support MORE THAN EVER! As usual, we'll use 100% of your donation for programmes and 0% will go towards overheads or fundraising.
